Learn key details about the latest generation of Maximus technology
By Jeremiah Karpowicz | August 14, 2012
Greg Estes from NVIDIA discussed their big news with us at Siggraph as they announced the latest generation of NVIDIA's Maximus technology. It enables artists, animators and editors to take advantage of multiple GPUs in the same work station.
Siggraph 2012 - nvidia from Createasphere.
NVIDIA® Maximus⢠technology combines the visualization and interactive design capability of NVIDIA Quadro® GPUs and the high-performance computing power of NVIDIA Tesla® GPUs in a single workstation. On an NVIDIA Maximus system the Tesla GPU companion processor performs the heavy lifting of photorealistic rendering or engineering simulation computation. This frees up CPU resources for the work they are best suited for while freeing the Quadro GPU to power rich, full-performance, interactive design.
