WASHINGTON—Dr. Barry Blesser, digital audio pioneer, director of engineering for 25-Seven Systems and contributing columnist for Radio World Engineering Extra magazine, will deliver the opening keynote speech at the NAB Broadcast Engineering Conference on Sunday, April 11 at 9:00 am. Blesser, who has served as a technical and management consultant for the past 40 years to more than 50 high-tech companies, will provide insight on the broadcast engineering profession and its next generation of leaders.

World-renown training company to highlight award-winning, expansive training curriculum; planning exclusive course giveaway

New options extend Slate’s control to ViewCast streamers and Telemetrics camera control systems. V8 will also run on upcoming Broadcast Pix 3G systems and so enable a smooth transition to a 1080p future. Camcorder Chosen for Superior Price Performance, HD Image Quality, Solid-state Media Recording and File-based Workflow Advantage
JVC Professional Products, a division of JVC U.S.A., announced today that Portland Community Media TV (PCM-TV)—a nonprofit organization dedicated to community access media production, video training workshops, and video production services for government and nonprofit agencies in Portland, Ore.—has taken delivery of 30 new JVC GY-HM100 ProHD camcorders.
The camcorders are being used to train the general public, from seventh graders to senior citizens, many of whom have never used a video camera. Once trained, these community members can help produce original shows that air on any of the seven Comcast cable channels managed by PCM-TV that reach a half-million households in the Greater Portland region, as well as Internet outlets.
