The new Dosch Design segment “Dosch Samples & Tutorials” has been created in order to support users in the optimal use of Dosch Design products, and for identifying solutions for specific task requirements. Delivered and presented by well-known experts, these English & German Tutorials are immediately available for illuminating complex work processes. The Tutorials are perfect for CG-novices, but will also offer a multitude of tips for advanced and professional users. Best of all, they can be downloaded anytime from our Homepage.
The Tutorial series starts with several interesting topics like use of animated or non-animated Viz-Images in a scene, and specifically how to obtain very realistic results through changes in lighting and shadows. Besides there is a demonstration how “Rigged Humans for Cinema 4D” are properly used, and how Humans V2 can be animated with Cinema 4D, Maya, Softimage or 3D Studio Max.
Furthermore Dosch Design provides basic information on working with HDRI, like how highlight-reflection and realistic illuminations are created, and how objects like spheres, cars and figures can be integrated in a HDRI environment. Realistic reflections and shadows can be achieved with the help of Cinema 4D. Also included in this Tutorial are settings of a simple scene background and a photo-studio.
Dosch Design has additional Tutorials on the drawing board, lending a hand with interesting and sometimes challenging topics. Quicker and better results are possible with proper guidance. Visit the homepage for useful details. Besides the Tutorials it provides numerous test-samples for various products - free of charge.
In this day and age I cannot believe you do not help your readers by adding links to the products in your articles. In the article above, first paragraph, last sentence, is the reference “they can be downloaded anytime from our Homepage.” Why isn’t there a link here? Pardon the rant, but this really pisses me off.

Yeah, links should be there.
However, it was not that hard to find what looks to be the right web page.

I have a beef here myself.
This “article” has been lifted entirely from a Dosch press release. If Ty can’t write his own material, why is he bothering to write at all? Why not just setup a “channel” here for Dosch.
There is a continuing problem on PVC to lift from manufacturers prepared briefs and post it without disclosing what it is.
Many of the writers here present themselves as experienced pros, thus allowing manufacturers to pass off corporate spinformation as something “endorsed” by the writer or PVC in general. In fact neither the writer or PVC have tried these products.
It degrades the value of the PVC brand and writers that pure advertisements are masqueraded as editorial content.
Ads should be identified as such and there should be some kind of standard notation that the writer has not tried a particular product nor endorses it.
PVC’s entire value as an information source for professionals is in it’s ability to discuss products honestly. PVC must be able to review products warts and all to be able to really offer readers anything of value to readers.
At this point, Ty has no credibility at all.
Maybe PVC needs a channel called “press releases”.
The press release can be found here:
