Future Media Concepts (FMC), the premier authorized digital media training organization for postproduction, broadcast, and content creators, announced today the 5th annual NY Post|Production Conference held in New York City from October 5-8, 2009. Produced in association with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB); ), this conference incorporates the same successful training methodology as the widely popular NAB Las Vegas training event. With its comprehensive session offerings delivered by the nation’s most sought after industry professionals and affordable conference fees, NY Post|Production has evolved into the East Coast’s leading training conference for production, postproduction, broadcast and new media professionals.

“The NY Post|Production Conference is dedicated to keeping the content creation community in step with emerging technology and techniques. Now more than ever, it is critical for creatives to be able to master the range of tools… and not just one solution. They need to know multiple applications from numerous vendors. The competition is so fierce today that being certified may be the difference in landing that big job or not,” said Ben Kozuch, co-founder and president, Future Media Concepts. “NY Post|Production provides an accelerated learning environment in which creatives can learn the latest techniques and technologies without breaking the bank.”

The 4-day world-class training event offers attendees the very latest in technology application and workflow techniques using Adobe®, Apple® and Avid® professional content creation tools. The 2009 conference agenda will offer several new session topics including a workshop specific to Producers and Directors of all genres. NY Post|Production Conference sessions are delivered by the industry’s most in-demand, manufacturer certified instructors and influential industry experts. A significant advantage for conference goers is the option to take one of two hands-on certification workshops that provide both editors and motion graphic artists an opportunity to increase their industry marketability by becoming certified in Apple® Final Cut Pro® or Motion®.

In addition to learning the latest in postproduction technology and innovative editing and compositing techniques; , attendees will have ample opportunity to network and congregate with peers and colleagues in the unique conference setting. “It is important for the NAB Show community to connect with the NY Post|Production Conference,” said Chris Brown, Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations, NAB. “New York City is one of the world’s key production hubs… naturally, we are eager to lend our support to FMC in producing this tightly focused curriculum for major industry players from small universities to conglomerates alike.”
