400 watts of LED replaces a 6K?  Sounds good to me.

Next time you need to flood a room with soft light - in whatever color temperature - you should give the Ohm a look.

  This article reminds me that its not always about the distance of the light source that determines the softness of the light, but the way that it wraps around a subject. The circular globe that you illustrated in the second set of pictures reminds of a china ball.

If I placed a china ball, and a square LED panel of the exact same light output 4 feet away from a human face. Which one would produce a softer light. I’ve always assumed that the spherical shape of a china ball produces softer light, but I’m not sure.

The big one in the picture is TEN FEET TALL!

When I walked past these the first time, I thought they might be antennas left on the Moon to shoot signals back to earth.  But a little research proved to me that these are great lighting devices.  NOTE: a big “Thanks!” to my colleague Erik Higgs for letting me edit on his laptop while I was in Vegas.
