Now I Know The RED Is For Real!

Bruce A Johnson | 06/16

It’s all in the users…

Skeptics begone!  Naysayers away!  The RED ONE has been adopted by a major studio!  And that studio is…

Digital Playground.

“Digital Who?”, you ask?

Digital Playground is one of the leading producers of, ahem, adult entertainment.  They are purported to be among the highest in production values for that particular niche, and I swear I read a story that they managed to shoot a large part of a pirate-themed porn film on the replica sailing ship “Bounty” without telling the owners what they were up to.  Now they have adopted the RED, and have great plans for it.

The mono-named founder of Digital Playground, Joone, said:  “Fans will actually lose themselves in the clarity of our new movies.”  Well, I guess that is the general purpose, right?

It is interesting that early on in the HD adoption cycle, it was debated whether adult films would even adopt the technology - it seems sometimes a lower level of resolution can, ummmm, make a positive impact on….oh jeez, it can hide wrinkles and sags and stuff.  But those days are behind us now!  Let’s sail forward to the HD future!  With clarity we can only wish might never have been invented!  And with this milestone passed, can the other major studios be far behind?

By the way, aren’t you glad I didn’t put a thumbnail on this post?

I’m even happier you didn’t post a full-res clip!
