Clint Milby
When Clint's father gave him a video camera as a graduation present, he immediately started producing short films, something he still does today.
After graduating from Baylor University, Milby moved to Los Angeles working for such industry respected companies as Live Entertainment and The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He worked six years for Warner Bros. where he served as executive assistant to writer/producers and development executives.
After writing several screenplays and producing one award winning short film, Clint broadened his writing and producing talents to include marketing and promotion for ikan corp. There he conceptualized and produced print insertions and videos, as well as creating a short film contest and launching an entire social media campaign.
In 2009, Milby became fascinated with HDSLRs and got a 7D of his own to join the revolution. Beyond making several shorts and commercials using his 7D, he became a careful student of how to get the best video possible from these remarkable cameras. In 2010, Clint started a news website, HDSLRShooter.com and has extended this blog to Pro Video Coalition.

Brett Richards Tells Why His Post Is Up In Smoke
Winner of numerous ProMax awards in 2011, Sweden-based, boutique production company Brokendoll has garnered acclaim with their self-described “visually intense” high end productions for advertising, television and web. You might think a company with this level of initial success would also have goals of growing, but according to Brett Richards, Brokendoll is intent on keeping their footprint small to maintain the quality of their productions, “It is important to the quality of the production that we have the right team on each job, so we avoid large, in house teams to maximize our flexibility.”

NAB 2011: Adobe’s Al Mooney Gives Us the Upside of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5
On Monday at NAB, the amazing people at Adobe arranged for me to meet with the project manager for Premiere CS5.5, Al Mooney, who very graciously took some time to enlighten me on what people can expect from this upgrade. I was a bit skeptical going into the interview, as many times software upgrades that involve decimal points are repackaged versions of the previous one, but I have to say I was totally taken back by just how many new and improved features Adobe is offering in Premiere CS5.5.
According to Al, Adobe has been taking advantage of their very healthy community of users and bringing some of the top editors who use different platforms such as FCP or Avid to watch and see what these guys found challenging.

That Won’t Break Your Budget!
For those of us in the industry who spend most of our life engaged in activities that many of our friends and family don’t really understand, shopping for us can be a daunting task. Although warned to just get gift cards, sometimes our loved ones insist on getting something more personal. The result can be a gift that never sees the light of day, is re-gifted or we have to make that awkward request for a receipt which never sets well…

Cutting 7D Footage Natively with Adobe Premiere CS5
Without a doubt, the greatest challenge for HDSLR shooters has been editorial. I recently read of another new software that’s supposed to magically make your HDSLR footage palatable for the finicky Final Cut Pro. Why you would ever want to put yourself through the misery and expense of purchasing an additional piece of software that takes hours to work and may crash your computer just so you can cut with FCP is beyond me. The good news is, now you don’t have to…

Legendary ASC discusses how the HDSLR changed his life, and how it will change yours…
When I called Shane Hurlbut, he was just returning from a shoot with the US Marine Corps in North Carolina. Shane is one of the most visible and vocal proponents of using the HDSLR for cinematic applications. From the first time Shane held the 5D Mark II, he instinctively knew the technology would not only change the film industry, but the world as well.
