Matthew Jeppsen
Matthew Jeppsen is the founder of FreshDV and a digital video shooter and editor. By most reports he is powered entirely by coffee. 
Kendal MillerKendal Miller has over 10 years experience in the production industry. Currently he is working as Director of Photography in Chicago, IL where he resides with his wife Kendra. He works on a wide variety of projects ranging from commercial to independent film projects, working on one of the first commercial Red projects in the midwest area. When he's not shooting film or video he enjoys still photography as a hobby. An original part of the FreshDV team and contributing author to such magazines as DV and others Kendal enjoys providing industry training and education for others, and feels he often learns through the writing process as well.

NAB 2009 Video - Cinemek G35Cinemek’s long-awaited G35 lens adapter Cinemek was at the Zacuto booth, showing off their G35 static ground glass adapter. The HD version of the G35 has been in development for some time now, so here’s the latest update on where they stand with the unit. NAB 2009 Video - Zeiss Compact PrimesA look at the new PL lens set from Zeiss At the Bandpro NAB booth, we got a look at the new Zeiss Compact PL Prime lenses, a relatively-affordable solution that utilizes ZF glass in a professional cine-style housing. NAB 2009 Video - 16x9A slew of cool products from 16x9 Inc 16x9 was exhibiting at NAB 2009, and we took a look at their mattebox for Red shooters, a modular Aladdin focus/zoom controller for cine-style lenses, battery-operated LED Pars, and a few other odds and ends. NAB 2009 Video - Panasonic HPX300Jan Crittenden on the Panasonic HPX300 and CMOS firmware fixes At Panasonic’s NAB booth, Jan Crittenden showed off the new Panasonic HPX-300 camera, offering a shoulder-mount configuration, 10-bit, 4:2:2, AVC-Intra, and a host of other professional features. We also spent some time demonstrating the new CMOS rolling shutter flash-frame firmware update. It’s an extensive interview, and very informative.
