Matthew Jeppsen
Matthew Jeppsen is the founder of FreshDV and a digital video shooter and editor. By most reports he is powered entirely by coffee. 
Kendal MillerKendal Miller has over 10 years experience in the production industry. Currently he is working as Director of Photography in Chicago, IL where he resides with his wife Kendra. He works on a wide variety of projects ranging from commercial to independent film projects, working on one of the first commercial Red projects in the midwest area. When he's not shooting film or video he enjoys still photography as a hobby. An original part of the FreshDV team and contributing author to such magazines as DV and others Kendal enjoys providing industry training and education for others, and feels he often learns through the writing process as well.

Research software automatically de-shakes videoUniversity of Wisconsin researchers and Adobe team up to smooth out amateur video footage
Here’s a sweet little bit of research in the works…Adobe and some folks at the University of Wisconsin have come up with a software solution to automatically remove shakes and wobbles in amateur video footage. Their solution automatically 3D tracks the footage, then selectively distorts the frame to compensate for wobbles and shake. Watching the video demonstration, it appears that this technique might also be effective at removing CMOS skew and jello/wobble as well. Read on below… more »
