Read my reviews of the new Final Cut Pro components
Mike Curtis | 07/23
Yep, I’ve already been hands on - Final Cut Pro 7, Motion 4, Compressor 3.5, Soundtrack Pro 3, Color 1.5
New Final Cut Studio is here - I’ve had a chance to review the components of the suite already, but unfortunately (for here) for another publication - MacWorld.
I’ll have lots more to say about them starting tomorrow on here, with the usual Mikey level of detailed analysis, with no word count constraint.

Compressor 3.5 Review | Video | Macworld
Soundtrack Pro 3 Review | Music and Audio | Macworld

Loved the review of FCP on MacWorld.com. Very comprehensive and I right on target. It’s nice to hear somebody else complain about some of the long standing issues that they never seem to address. Overall it felt more like a 6.5 then a 7 release, but with the price drop who can complain.
Nice job. I feel like I’ve already tried out the software!

I just have a few questions (to which I’m pretty sure I already know the answer). These are the only things I look for in each new FCP:
Is the QT gamma bug fixed?
Is the >8 bit RGB bug fixed?
Is the >100 IRE to RGB bug fixed?
Is output the same through media manager as other export options?

Good overview of the features.
I was wondering what that $1000 control surface for color was? I thought the Wave and MC were about $1,500-$1,700 each?
