Unit Offers Real-Time 2D-to-3D Conversion to Repurpose Archived Content, Also Serves as 3D L/R Mixer for Monitoring 3D Footage

JVC Professional Products, a division of JVC U.S.A., today introduced the IF-2D3D1 Stereoscopic Image Processor, which works as a 2D-to-3D converter and as a 3D L/R mixer for video content producers. Housed in a rugged, 1RU metal cabinet and compatible with a wide range of HD formats, the IF-2D3D1 is designed to help 3D content producers improve their workflow, whether they are converting archived 2D material or shooting original content in 3D.

“AVATAR” DIRECTOR OF Photography VINCE PACE RELIES ON FUJINON LENSES TO CAPTURE 3D ACTION

Writer, Director and Producer James Cameron, and Vince Pace, DP, Co-inventor of the Fusion 3D camera system, and founder of PACE, chose Fujinon lenses for production of the ground breaking 3D epic feature Avatar, released December 18th.  Lenses used on the production included the Fujinon HA16x6.3BE (6.3-101mm) and a special design HA5x7B-W50 (7-35mm) model specially developed for Pace/Cameron 3D production.

Digital Rebellion LLC, creator of the popular FCS Maintenance Pack for troubleshooting Final Cut Studio, today announced the availability of FCP Versioner, a utility to automatically back up Final Cut Pro projects in XML format and generate changelogs to show modifications between revisions.
