PVC News Staff | 08/31- 07:36 AM

image

Gekko Technology, a world leader in LED-based lighting systems for television and film production, announces a new D-SLR mount for its established and successful lenslite. The D-SLR mount allows direct attachment of the lenslite lamphead to Canon 5D, 7D and Nikon D3 cameras. Fixing directly to the base of the camera via the tripod screw, the mount secures 15 millimetre bars which hold the lamphead on axis around the lens. The base of the mount has an additional fixing so the camera/lenslite combination can still be mounted on a tripod, but with the centre of gravity moved forward for stability.

Fletcher Camera & Lenses Renew Trust in the SprintCam Vvs HD

Dorian Gentry | 04/25- 05:22 PM

MONS, Belgium - Apr 21, 2011 - Fletcher Camera & Lenses, a leading broadcast solutions provider located in Chicago and Detroit, renewed trust in the SprintCam Vvs HD by continuing in investing in the I-MOVIX technology. Indeed, the company placed orders for two additional SprintCam Vvs HD 32 Gb systems that will be put on air in the US on the occasion of major sports competitions.

Dan Grainge, Vice President Sports at Fletcher Camera & Lenses :

“We, at Fletcher Camera & Lenses, are happy to continue investing in the latest I-MOVIX solution, following the interest we raised in the United States among broadcasters. Within less than a year, Fletcher managed to establish the technology as a standard and to make the SprintCam used by well known US broadcasters such as ESPN, NBC, SNY, Yes Network, just to give a few examples.

We just took delivery of 2 more SprintCam Vvs HD cameras. The flexibility and willingness to learn about the US broadcast market allowed I-MOVIX to have its technology introduced and extensively used by senior broadcasters”.

LIGHTING: Advanced Cucoloris Use Illustrated by a Solar Eclipse

Art Adams | 05/24- 11:24 AM

Q: What happens when you stack several pattern-making devices in front of a light? A: Extreme lighting goodness. Learn why here…

I love stacking cucolorii (plural of “cucoloris”) and I thought it was time to write an article about how this technique works and why I like it so much.
