UK based 3D Visual Enterprises has acquired 100% of Meduza Systems LLC, the Irvine, CA based award-winning developer of the 3D cameras, the Meduza TITAN and the Meduza MK1, it was announced today by Chris Cary, CEO of the newly formed combined company, re-named Meduza Systems Ltd. In streamlining the company, the executive team includes the appointments of consultants Matt Whalen, Imaging and Color Scientist and Al Mayer, Chief Mechanical Engineer and Program Manager.  Meduza Systems Ltd retains offices in London, England and Irvine, CA.

NewTek today introduced a certified operator program for live video producers who use TriCaster™. Live video production experts can qualify for the program by completing and passing the certified operator exam. The 75-question multiple choice and multiple response exam covers nine skill and knowledge areas. Certified operators will be listed on the NewTek website as live production and streaming professionals who meet the NewTek standards of excellence.

JVC Professional Products Company, a division of JVC Americas Corp., today announced the GY-HMQ10, the world’s first handheld 4K camcorder, which captures, records, and plays video images at four times the resolution of high definition television. Powered by JVC’s Falconbrid large-scale integration (LSI) chip for high-speed signal processing and a 1/2-inch CMOS imager with 8.3 million active pixels, it delivers real-time 3840x2160 footage at 24p, 50p, or 60p.
