Rosey Media shoots ‘SNL Digital Shots’ with Panasonic AJ-HPX3000

SECAUCUS, NJ (July 28, 2008) — “Saturday Night Live,” NBC’s Emmy winning late-night comedy show, has launched the careers of many of the country’s biggest comedy performers. Since the inception of the SNL Digital Shorts during the 2005-2006 season, John Rosenblatt of Rosey Media has served as the Director of Photography of the segments, which are consistent crowd-pleasers and some of the most “viral” video shared on the Internet.  Beginning last February (the end of the writers’ strike), the DP has been shooting the shorts with Panasonic’s AJ-HPX3000 native 1080p one-piece P2 HD camcorders.

OConnor scores for The Perfect Game

On August 8, 2008, The Perfect Game opens nationwide. The film’s cinematographer Bryan Greenberg is a veteran of over one hundred music videos. “OConnor equipment has been with me all the way,” says Greenberg. “I bought a used OConnor 100 back in 1976 that I still use today. The combination of counterbalance and OConnor drag gives me the right feel. Looking back, Greenberg recalls when the head came with various spring options. “When I was living and working in Detroit, the cameras were all much heavier, so this older 100 was made with heavy-duty springs.”

Recurring production seen on 14,000 screens is shot in AVC-Intra 100

SECAUCUS, NJ (July 21, 2008) – Heads up and out of that popcorn tub to savor the arresting visuals of a digital pre-show with movie-related news and features that runs in thousands of theater locations and screens nationwide.  For the past several months, production company Digital Kitchen has utilized Panasonic’s AJ-HPX2000 P2 HD camcorders to shoot this plum assignment for one of the world’s largest cinema advertising companies.

“Laid to Rest” thriller shot with Panasonic AJ-HPX3000

Anchor Bay Entertainment acquires project for release early next year

SECAUCUS, NJ (July 9, 2008) — It is a dark and claustrophobic night for the heroine of the upcoming horror movie, Laid to Rest, the terrifying story of a young girl who wakes up in a casket with a traumatic head injury and no memory of her identity. This second directorial effort from renowned special effects artist Robert Hall (Superbad, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the upcoming Pineapple Express) was shot entirely with Panasonic AJ-HPX3000 native 1080p one-piece P2 HD camcorders. Anchor Bay Entertainment, a division of Starz Media, has picked up the film for release in February 2009, and will premiere the Laid to Rest trailer at Comic Con in San Diego later this month.
