Now you can securely backup any RED media device while streamlining your workflow from acquisition to archive. Available for Mac or Windows (Intel-Mac, Windows XP and Vista computers). ShotPut RED features Single card or volume (manual) and Multiple card or volume (auto) modes. Simply insert the CF card for example into a PowerBook or Notebook’s card slot, or plug in a mountable volume or card reader, and ShotPut RED makes secure, verified copies of the volume’s contents in up to three (3) locations.

Tweak Software’s RV adopted by Lucasfilm Ltd.

San Francisco, CA (July 30, 2008)—Tweak Software, developers of RV, the image and sequence viewer for animation and visual effects, announced today that Lucasfilm Ltd. has selected RV as its playback tool of choice.  RV will replace Loupe, the legendary playback software originally developed at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), and used at sister companies Lucasfilm Animation, Lucasfilm Animation Singapore, and LucasArts.

Rosey Media shoots ‘SNL Digital Shots’ with Panasonic AJ-HPX3000

SECAUCUS, NJ (July 28, 2008) — “Saturday Night Live,” NBC’s Emmy winning late-night comedy show, has launched the careers of many of the country’s biggest comedy performers. Since the inception of the SNL Digital Shorts during the 2005-2006 season, John Rosenblatt of Rosey Media has served as the Director of Photography of the segments, which are consistent crowd-pleasers and some of the most “viral” video shared on the Internet.  Beginning last February (the end of the writers’ strike), the DP has been shooting the shorts with Panasonic’s AJ-HPX3000 native 1080p one-piece P2 HD camcorders.
