ARRI continues its tradition of developing technologies to expand creative options for the filmmaker with Relativity™, a powerful new suite of software tools offering unprecedented control of texture and time using sophisticated motion estimation techniques. The company officially launches the innovative software with a high profile event for select guests at FotoKem in Burbank today. ARRI Relativity™ software is powered by Pixel Strings™, the first engine to fully harness the potential of GPU-based parallel processing for motion estimation and spatial-temporal image filtering. Marketed exclusively by ARRI, this technology was developed by Cinnafilm, a New Mexico software developer, teaming with Digital Film Central, a Vancouver post production facility, on the Texture Control module.
