Boston, MA—April 11, 2011—EditShare®, the technology leader in cross-platform collaborative editing and shared media storage systems, is showcasing its newly enhanced versatile media production workflow applications and tiered storage line up at the NAB 2011 exhibition. EditShare offers an exceptional collection of purpose-built solutions that power a wide range of production workflows including Reality TV, Episodics, News Production, Live Events, Sports, Feature Films, News Production and more. The new capabilities promote system interoperability and metadata management across the company’s line of ingest, asset management, shared storage, playout, and archive product lines. “This year, EditShare is showcasing a robust tiered storage environment with a cost-effective top-notch asset management layer that supports virtually every format and almost every workflow,” said Andy Liebman, founder and CEO of EditShare. “The EditShare value lies in both performance and versatility. Our collaborative solutions seamlessly integrate, facilitating end-to-end tapeless workflows for just about any production while still providing purpose built solutions that on their own offer tremendous performance and interoperability for mixed vendor technology environments.”

Lightworks Open Source is the industry’s first large-scale, open source development initiative for a non-linear editing (NLE) platform. A departure from standard third-party developer programs that limit access, Lightworks Open Source offers an unprecedented gateway into the NLE’s core engine, enabling a wide range of creative developers to implement forward-thinking features and workflows.

Lightworks NAB Newsworthy Highlights Include

• Over 100,000 downloads from website

• Major productions using Lightworks – The Kings Speech, Hugo Cabret, Hanna

Advanced features such as Edit-While-Capture and Bandwidth-Controlled File-Based Ingest add a level of control over productions that set Flow apart from its peers. Rapid production tools, such as Flow Templates, Projects and Bins enable users to begin the pre-editing process during ingest. The patent pending EditShare Universal File Technology gives users the space efficiency and convenience of single-format editing without sacrificing metadata tracking across the workflow.

New Flow Features;

• Support for AVC-Intra (SDI and File Ingest)

• Support for ProRes in Flow Scan

• Full metadata support for NLEs including; clip, sequence, and marker metadata

• Restore content offline clips directly from a Sequence

In addition to supporting the full range of broadcast codecs including AVC-Intra, Geevs 5.0 adds widely used post-production formats Avid DNxHD and ProRes.
