Litepanels® is offering factory rebates for the popular Micro™ and MicroPro™ LED lighting fixtures when purchased by December 31, 2009.

The Award-winning Micro and MicroPro provide luminous, soft, directional lighting with the same warmth and color characteristics that have made Litepanels a part of television/broadcast news/motion picture productions worldwide. These low-profile, lightweight yet powerful LED lights have gained rapid popularity for use with DV and DSLR cameras. LIGHTING STRATEGIES: Exploiting a Single Light Source

Art Adams | 01/28

Sometimes all it takes to make a beautiful picture is placing one light—as long as it’s the proper light source. This still photo shows an example of one style of soft lighting that’s been in use for centuries, and for good reason: it works.

Adobe teases Prelude at the San Francisco Supermeet, FCPUG changes its name

Scott Simmons | 01/28

The Adobe sneak looks intriguing. Makes me excited for CS6.

From the looks of Twitter last night there were a couple of surprises at the Friday evening’s San Francisco Supermeet. First bit of news I saw was that Final Cut Pro User Group (FCPUG) has decided to drop the Final Cut Pro designation from their name to become the Creative Pro User Group. Second was a sneak peek from Adobe about a new application called Prelude.
