Panasonic HPX300 Production Diary Article Goes Live at www.kenstone,net

PVC News Staff | 08/25

http://www.kenstone.net is proud to announce the release of a brand new feature article entitled “Production Diary - Cinematic Storytelling the Panasonic’s AG-HPX300” written by noted television producer/writer/DP Dan Brockett. “I was DP on a large project in March of 2009 that I shot for Triplane Film + Video for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority.” said Brockett. “The project was a unique chance to use the latest technology on a genuine, for pay project for prominent clients. The HPX300 was the right tool to realize our vision for a project we produced for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority. The Producer, director and clients were very pleased with the footage we shot using a prototype pre-release model of the new HPX300 that Panasonic provided to us” Brockett remarked.

Ken Stone added, “Much of the content on the web about production gear is written as little more than single page overviews. With this article, we have a chance to really explore what it was like to shoot an actual project for paying clients with an exciting, brand new, category defining camera. This is the kind of unique content that is difficult to find anywhere else on the web.”

http://www.kenstone.net began life in 2001 as the web’s premier Final Cut Pro on-line resource guide, focusing on all things Final Cut. Over the years, the site has evolved to include over one thousand informative articles from the entertainment and media industry’s top experts. Noted contributors to the site’s content include original FInal Cut Pro Apple team member and 2-Pop manager Ralph Fairweather, DV Magazine’s Ned Soltz, Ripple Training’s Steve Martin, underwater cinematographer Steve Douglas, Writer and motion graphic artist David A Saraceno, Cinematographer and FCP instructor Andrew Balis, Chief BuZZmeister of the Digital Production website Philip Hodgetts, Advanced Level Final Cut Pro Instructor Larry Jordan, noted cinematographer Barry Braverman and software developer Graeme Nattress among many others.

In 2008, http://www.kenstone.net had almost 3 million unique visitors. The single most striking quality of the http://www.kenstone.net website is that access to the site is totally free. The site has no advertisers or sponsors, it features editorial content with the vision of serving as a pure information and sharing resource. Amazing though it may seem, the website is Ken Stone’s personal vision of what a high quality Internet information source should be and is compiled, edited and updated by Ken Stone on a daily basis. Besides serving as the largest free video/film production information source on the web, the site also features a lively discussion forum with users and readers trading tips, information and advice.
