Patriots / Giants Game, First Simulcast Across Netowrks Since 1967

If you were lucky enough to catch a very exciting game this weekend, you were also able to catch a piece of history in the making.  No, I’m not talking about the Patriots going 16/0 (particularly since I am a Giants fan!), I’m referring instead to the simulcast across networks with CBS and NBC, and the NFL Network carrying the game in HD.

The last time that happened, it was Super Bowl number one in 1967!  In case you’ve been paying attention, NFL carriage has been a thing of criticism with reference to Time Warner and Comcast specifically.  Well, to this football fan, this game was a thing of beauty...except the final score that is.
