Sachtler FSB Cell available for delivery

The FSB CELL by Sachtler, a Vitec Group brand, is now shipping. Last year the innovative battery concept for MiniDV and (H)DV cameras was presented for the first time and has been subsequently optimised following relevant tests by product developers and selected users.

The FSB CELL’s underside is fashioned like a camera plate and can be fastened perfectly onto Sachtler’s award winning FSB fluid heads, ensuring secure locking and optimised handling features for the cameraman through the battery’s attached weight (1.43 lbs / 0.65kg). By mounting the battery directly onto the fluid head the FSB CELL’s weight increases stability without adversely influencing the balancing of the camera, ensuring steady and smooth pan & tilt movement.

A maximum of flexibility

The FSB CELL is renowned for its large capacity. Depending on the type of camera, an operating time of up to eight hours is guaranteed. Furthermore, additional equipment, like the Reporter 8LED, the first LED on-camera light by Sachtler, can be used.

Using a corresponding adapter cable the battery can also be used to power cameras from Sony, Canon and Panasonic. Another advantage of the FSB CELL is the extended sliding range of 8.8 in. (225mm), resulting in maximum flexibility for the use of accessories. In combination with the FSB CELL the Sachtler fluid heads FSB 2 and FSB 6 make the ideal support package.
