Second Annual DAMMY Award Winners Unveiled

BURBANK, CA (September 23, 2011)    Createasphere’s Digital Asset Management Conference bestowed their DAMMY Awards this afternoon to a sold-out ballroom.  The DAMMY Awards are the first honors specifically conceived to recognize excellence in innovative digital asset management technology.  The DAMMY’s returned to New York and the New Yorker Hotel for the second DAMMY Awards gala luncheon. 

The 2011 DAMMY Award winners are:

Best Storage, Archive and or Preservation Solution

• ADAM Software

Best Example of Asset & Media Repurposing

• Hallmark Cards

Best Strategy or Solution for Digital & Media Asset Management During the Acquisition of Content

• 5th Kind

Best strategy Ease of Use for End-User Interface

• Showtime Networks

DAMMY of the Year:

• Thomas Schleu – Canto Software

Paul Nicholson of Showtime accepts the award for Best strategy Ease of Use for End-User Interface.

Judges who are recognized professionals in Digital Asset Management select nominees and winners of the DAMMY. These years’ judges included Lisa McIntyre, GSD&M; David Riecks, Controlled Vocabulary; and Donna Slawsky, Columbia University School of Continuing Education.
