Wuala Online Storage Introduces Sync for Professionals

Today, two years after its official beta launch, Wuala announces its latest feature - Wuala Sync. Users can now synchronize files online and across multiple computers and operating systems. Changes made on the user’s home computer will be automatically synchronized to his or her work computer. The user can work right on the desktop, even if offline. In addition, Wuala’s file versioning and time travel feature allows users to access and restore previous file versions.

A year after merging with parent company LaCie, Wuala has aligned its application strategy with the demands of LaCie’s sophisticated storage users, delivering the most secure and comprehensive online storage application. Complementing LaCie’s simplistic approach to design and usability, Wuala introduces a new look and feel to its application interface – showcasing a clean navigation for easy backup, file sharing and synchronization.

Wuala’s unique technology protects the user’s privacy. All files stored in Wuala get encrypted directly on the user’s computer, before they are stored online – the password never gets transmitted. This means no one, not even the employees at Wuala or LaCie, can view or access the user’s private data. Users can then set preferences for allowing the public, their friend network, or individuals access to their folders.


Together with automatic backup, file versioning and time travel, Sync now rounds off Wuala’s pro features. Pro Packages start at 10 GB for $29 per year.
