Scott Gentry | 05/12

Did I miss this at NAB?  Did JVC just decide now to unleash these?

D-ILA technology and…wait for it….wait for it….keep waiting… 8,912 x 4,320 or 3,840 x 2,160 resolution.

More to follow…but you’ll have to wait for it…

D-ILA is a projector technology, not a camera sensor technology. The Engadget report on the JVC got things mixed up from the report it references on Akihabara news. The camera is 4k, and had what looked like an optical fibre link to a large rackmount box which converted the image, live, to quad HD-SDI output for display.
