Welcome Several New PVC Writers
Scott Gentry | 05/07
As the tagline implies, PVC is the power of many. Help me welcome several new writers since NAB.
It has always been the goal of PVC to handpick the best writers in the industry and let them have their own channel. Since NAB, we’ve added several new great writers; Richard Harrington, Steve Martin (who’ll be writing with Brian Gary and Mark Spencer), Terence Curren and just today, Steve Hullfish. Each of these guys comes to PVC with a very well established background, fantastic credits and a strong history of writing for this market.
PVC launched with 7 Founders and is now up to 14 excellent writers covering many parts of the pro video marketplace. PVC will continue to grow into those areas we aren’t yet covering and will be adding writers well versed in those disciplines.
Welcome aboard guys.

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t have the privilege of getting to work with high-end workflows all of the time. I go from everything to DV to Film 4K and everything in between, but clearly SD and compressed HD workflows predominate what we do. However, I have to say that I’ve been really intruiged with what AJA offers for Adobe products - all that you would expect and a whole bunch extra. Read on to…

I might be just winging it, but darned if it don’t work!
I haven’t yet found a manual for working with RED footage. The methods that I’ve discovered have been cobbled together by searching through thousands of posts on Reduser.net (which has a very low signal-to-noise…

Coming From Red: Adobe Production Premium support !
For a few weeks now I have been checking out the new Red Camera Adobe Importer plug-in for Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, and Encore. For their first Adobe CS3 plug-in, they’ve done some excellent work. Their importer plug-in makes using the native R3D file type as easy as any of the other tapeless formats we currently support with CS3. As with our P2 and XDCAM support, importing is as easy as drag and drop or you can still use the standard…
