I have absolute mad respect for Steve Jobs. It shows what a person can do if given a second chance, and seizes it for all it’s worth. Not satisfied with merely improving; only with Making It Right. A true anthropologist in observing how people used their tools…then making that leap to give them a different tool that actually does what they were trying to force the old tool to do. Products like the iPod and iPhone get all the press, but even the little things - like seeing first hand how the guts of Mac tower evolved from an impossible-to-work-on beast to the elegant, clean sculpture it is today (both inside and out) - will forever put me in awe of the man.

But all that said, credit where credit is due: FCP is Randy Ubillos. He created Adobe Premiere (the first coming), then moved to Macromedia and made his own best use of his second chance in designing Final Cut Pro. Bill Warner (Avid) and Randy are the two most responsible for creating the desktop video editing industry, IMHO.
