Adobe Creative Cloud tools speed workflow and help meet the goal of posting content on a daily basis

SoulPancake, a production company founded by Rainn Wilson (of NBC’s “The Office”), is creating extraordinary original online video content for YouTube. With more than 100,000 subscribers and more than three million video views to date, SoulPancake ranks in the top 100 YouTube channels. SoulPancake recently switched to Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and an all Adobe video workflow to produce its daily content, which includes series on topics ranging from art and philosophy to creativity and spirituality. Adobe had the opportunity to talk with the team at SoulPancake—including Rainn Wilson, Bayan Joonam, Shabnam Mogharabi, and Golriz Lucina about the company, inspiration, switch to Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Premiere Pro, and plans for the future.

Bandito Brothers director uses tools in Adobe Creative Cloud on film documenting the life of legendary skateboarder

Danny Way is among the world’s most visionary skateboarders. During his 20+ year career as a professional skateboarder, he has attempted to jump the Great Wall of China, broken the land speed record on a skateboard (an incredible 74.5 mph), and won numerous Big Air Gold Medals at the X Games. He’s now the focus of Waiting for Lightning, a feature-length documentary about how much abuse the body can sustain, how deep you have to dig to survive a troubled family life, and how high and far dreams can fly. The film’s director is filmmaker, author, and digital media expert Jacob Rosenberg of the studio Bandito Brothers, creators of films such as Act of Valor and Dust to Glory. We had a chance to catch up with Rosenberg about the remarkable new documentary Waiting for Lightning and some of the breakthrough cinematography used in its creation.

It's just about a week to go in the CTRL+Console Kickstarter campaign for this cool non-linear editing control interface for iPhone and iPad. I posted about it a while back and one issue I had was that the lack of tactile control on an iPad meant the demo had the editor looking away from the screen way too often to look at the iPad. But a recent update lists out a number of gestures that will accomplish tasks without looking down at the screen. Now we're talking.
