At IBC in Amsterdam, Adobe has announced that they will soon be adding support for the new perceived audio loudness standards. I first covered these new standards in the first of several Hindenburg review articles (links ahead). Adobe also announced that the company will soon add other important features to the next version of Audition CC, which I’ll summarize ahead.

Other new features in Audition CC
Here are some other new features that Adobe plans to add to Audition CC:
- A touch environment optimized for Microsoft Surface Pro, Windows 8 tablets and Apple track pad devices.
- Adjust the duration of a song to match video content with Remix. More than a simple looping tool, Remix automatically rearranges music to any duration while maintaining musicality and structure, creating custom tracks to fit storytelling needs.
- Capability of inserting synthesized voices as placeholders until the professional narration version is produced and substituted.
I hope to cover these and other features in detail in future articles.
