Danny Zappin, co-founder and former CEO of the pioneering YouTube network Maker Studios, will deliver the keynote address at Createasphere’s 13th Annual Entertainment Technology Expo (ETE). Entitled Wake Up!! There Is No “Business As Usual,” the session will be moderated by Benny Luo, founder of the influential web entertainment site NewMediaRockstars. It’s scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on November 7th in Theatre 1 at the ETE host site, the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel in Burbank, California.
In a provocative and eye-opening session, Zappin and Luo will discuss the explosive growth in broadband and over-the-top content and its game-changing implications for content creators. Drawing on their personal experiences at the frontier of online content, the two visionary leaders will offer their perspectives on the current state of the industry, where it’s headed, and what they’re doing to capitalize on today’s emerging opportunities. It’s a session no one who hopes to succeed in the brave new world of digital content will want to miss.
“For those involved in creating and distributing content, the old ways of doing business no longer hold,” says Kristin Petrovich Kennedy, president of Createasphere, ETE’s sponsor. “Danny’s keynote will reveal what’s new and what’s coming very quickly in television and cinema. It’s meant to be a wake-up call, but it will also empower attendees by showing them how they can thrive in a future that is already taking shape.”
ETE is the West Coast’s premiere exposition for content creators, featuring technology demonstrations from more than 50 leading software and hardware developers, as well as a packed lineup of workshops, master classes, panel discussions and speakers, featuring the best and brightest minds from all corners of the entertainment world.
