The audio specialists at K-Tek have designed a fresh take on the audio bag just in time for the new small mixer/recorders like the Sound Devices 633 and Zaxcom Maxx. The new Stingray Audio Bag has incorporated never before seen innovations to allow the bag to stand upright, and offers easy access to media, crucial connections, batteries, and plenty of storage for gear. Plus there are multiple carrying options—all in one compact bag.
Made with attention to detail, the Stingray has a rigid, yet lightweight interior frame that allows the bag to stand upright when set-down or sit on its side without collapsing. This gives the sound mixer a solid mobile workstation. Set up has never been easier. The Stingray is customizable to hold the recorder/mixer as well as six receivers, a dedicated sleeve for an NP-1 style battery and loads of extra storage.
With an audio-centric perspective, K-Tek’s Stingray allows for complete access from the sides, the top, and the bottom of the bag. Crucial connections can be made quickly. Batteries can be managed quickly. And media can be accessed quickly via the zippered sides and bottom trap door that secures easily with a sure-snap buckle and six magnet points. The underside has a rigid polyurethane plate and rail-style feet to enhance stability. Side openings are lined with separate pouches for extra storage. Even the front is lined with Nylon loops to hold extra cables or headphones.
Carrying has never been easier. The well thought-out top handles are retractable so they aren’t in the way. Plus there’s a padded shoulder strap included. And for those who prefer to wear their bag, the back is set up for use with a harness or K-Tek’s new waist belt.
Engineered for cool comfort, the Stingray Audio Bag has a curved shape with mesh lining to allow for airflow between the bag and the operator. A detachable transparent rain cover protects the gear from inclement weather and the materials used are water resistant and extremely durable. K-Tek’s new bag also comes with two universal neoprene pouches for wireless receivers that secure at various points inside or outside the Stingray.
