Let's face it, we don't always feel creative. I'm always on the look out for great sources of inspiration. Sometimes l need a little fuel in my creativity tank, and other times I'm looking for ways to visually represent my ideas to team members and clients. Here are a couple of my go to sites for inspiration.
Evan started posting still frames from films back a few years ago and has been building quite an archive. I will often hit up the blog to peruse screen grabs for inspiration on lighting and composition.
Another archive of screen grabs from films. While the catalog of films is more extensive than Evan's there aren't as many frames represented for each film.
This site is a cool resource, it breaks films down by their color palettes.
A great site that curates short films.
Adweek
Adweek has several great ways to view the work of some of the best commercial companies. You can view Ad of The Day, or the top commercials of the week. I usually will find some inspirational material here.
Well that is a few of the websites and sources that I frequent on my quest for the best. What websites and sources do you use?
