CHATSWORTH, CA – Connectivity solutions provider Gefen contributed its DVI Extenders for Barco LED processors to an audiovisual project that received the 2008 ARCHI-TECH AV Grand Prize Award. The winning project, Victory Park Screens in Dallas, was selected from the Best Over $1 million category, designed by TFO Architecture, The Whitlock Group-Dallas and Vantage Technology Consulting Group.
The project is located in prominent Victory Park, a sophisticated urban district in Dallas, Texas. It employs a leading-edge selection of digital media technology that combines digital art and advertising to attract visitors and convey messaging detailing sponsorships, promotions and community events. Enormous outdoor video screens, dynamic audio, and vibrant lighting coalesce to create one of today’s most visually stunning and engaging public venues in the United States.
Gefen’s DVI Extenders were used to instantly deliver high definition video resolutions to 1080p full HD with zero signal loss or delay.
“Gefen is thrilled to be a part of this project,” said Hagai Gefen, president and CEO, Gefen Inc. “To be recognized as a leading provider of high quality digital video extenders is right in line with our goal to increase the reach of digital video in both personal and commercial spaces.”
ARCHI-TECH Magazine and InfoComm International announced two grand prizes and three winners from among multiple projects submitted for consideration. Award-winning projects are featured in the July/August issue of ARCHI-TECH Magazine.
“To receive an ARCHI-TECH AV Award speaks to the quality of the products and the talents of the firms involved in creating these award-winning audiovisual projects,” added Jim Forthofer, publisher, ARCHI-TECH Magazine.
