The activity is centered on Media Composer, AVID’s NLE, used for everything from Star Wars: The Force Awakens or The Martian to videogames as Star Citizen, which has been in development for years. The non-linear editing system is the flagship product of AVID Technology. Launched in 1989, initially for Mac, Media Composer, or simply AVID, as many call it, is avaialble for both Mac and windows since the early 1990’s.
