Shortly after NAB 2012, Adobe hosted a press conference to show off CS6 and make announcements as far as availability and pricing. We at HDSLR Shooter were in attendance and filmed a bit of the demonstration and address in the main theater of at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. This demonstration centered around developing an entire marketing campaign including, a website with video fully integrated as well as brochures created specifically for tablets.
The point here was to show how one could create an entire campaign from concept to completion using only Adobe tools. Although there were various gurus representing different apps, David Wadhwani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Digital Media Business Unit? Adobe Systems, was running the show. Finally at the end, Wadwani broke down the big news. CS6 will be totally cloud based. A membership to Creative Cloud gives you not only access to all of the Adobe apps, but also 20gb of cloud space for your projects and assets.
Retail price for all this will run you $49 a month which is just less than a gym membership. However, if you’ve had a registered version of any of the suites going back to CS3, Adobe is extending a special price — check out the video to find out more!
