Kessler Crane, Inc., manufacturer of high quality camera cranes and camera support products, announces the release of the KC-Lite camera crane, a 100% tool-less, single rail camera crane / jib that is light-weight and portable for use with DV and DSLR cameras under ten pounds.
“With the recent explosion of HD video capable DSLR and smaller DV cameras, we saw the need for a quality light-weight camera crane. Our goal was to offer our customers a low cost, ‘economy crane’, but built to our quality standards,” said Eric Kessler, President of Kessler Crane, Inc. “The KC-Lite is not a replacement to our standard dual-rail camera cranes, but we feel it is the highest quality single-rail crane option available in the sub $400 price range. We took a look at all the other ‘economy’ cranes at this price point and listened to the feedback from customers to address the weak points of those products.”
The KC-Lite is made with high quality 6061-T6 aluminum, weighs approximately thirteen pounds with a maximum payload capacity of ten pounds. The crane has a heavy duty tilt control rod and 3/8″ thick mounting plate that mounts to the tripod fluid head in a way that utilizes the fluid drag of the head’s pan and tilt giving smooth control and fluid like movements in all three modes of crane operation (manual tilt, fixed-angle mode, and automatic mode).
The KC-Lite Camera Crane is available now at an introductory price of US$299.95. A Complete System that includes crane, tripod, and tripod head is also available for an introductory price of $599.95.
