Blackmagic shows pocket RAW camera for US$1K plus 4K camera for US$4k 1

At NAB 2013, Blackmagic showed two new cameras to join its initial US$2995 Cinematography Camera. The new ones include the US$3995 4K camera, a big sister to the original Cine model, and a US$995 pocket 1080p RAW motion picture, which can record either Apple ProRes or CinemaDNG RAW with 13 stops of dynamic range which has a Super 16 sensor size and an active Micro Four Thirds lens mount. Ahead you’ll see more photos and what concerned me about the Blackmagic pocket camera’s audio.

What concerned me about the audio

Although fortunately the pocked RAW camera from Blackmagic fortunately has an external input for a mic/line source, two representatives from Blackmagic confirmed that there is no VU meter or even a peak indicator, and not even a limiter. Hopefully some (or all) of those will be coming with a firmware update.
