CyberLink Corp., working with strategic partners to advance auto-stereo 3D technology, has announced three new solutions leveraging the company’s PowerDVD video software. PowerDVD, CyberLink’s Blu-ray and HD video player software, is designed to enhance the media playback experience and to provide glasses-free stereo 3D playback on laptops and desktop PCs.
Three new solutions leveraging PowerDVD include : 3DeeFlector with Spatial View, 215FS01 with CPT, and SeeFront 3D Rig.
“The 3DeeFlector provides laptop manufacturers with a low cost and easy migration path to stereoscopic 3D,” says Ihor Petelycky, general manager of Core Technology and Applications at Spatial View. “We are confident the experience of watching 3D movies and digital content without the need for special glasses will have a positive impact on the adoption of stereo 3D by laptop owners.”
“We are witnessing the increasing demand of a vivid 3D experience without the obnoxious glasses,” adds Christoph M. Grossmann, founder and CEO of SeeFront. “By cooperating with CyberLink, together we offer true 3D effect and freedom of movement in all directions, creating the ultimate 3D viewing experience.”
“We are delighted to work closely with CyberLink to provide state-of-the-art viewing experiences by leveraging its flagship PowerDVD on 215FS01 of CPT solution,” notes Sheng-Chang Lin, president of CPT, a dedicated professional panel maker.
PowerDVD supports CPU and GPU hardware acceleration, and its TrueTheater 3D technology converts 2D movie and video files into 3D. To bring 3D to life, PowerDVD 3D boasts support for Blu-ray 3D and compatibility with most 3D hardware to bring Blu-ray 3D video to the PC, enabling new visual experiences.
The advancement of auto-stereo 3D technology, says a company spokesperson, creates compelling viewing experiences in 3D without glasses, enabling users to enjoy 3D movies at a new level.
