The real problem with standards is they always seem to be changing. Kind of a contradiction in terms, but I see it all the time.

I had the curious experience of reviewing data standards for MRO spares and equipment at a global CPG company. As we started the discussion, we met with one leader responsible for the East region. He stated that when it came to his plants; naming conventions and standards were “common sense.”
