What: Digital Cinema Society (DCS) RED ONE Event – Northern California/Pacific Northwest Chapter
Join us for an exciting and informative afternoon exploring the RED ONE camera and the RED digital cinema workflow at NetApp in Sunnyvale, CA. Get a close look at the cameras and learn first-hand what all the RED hype is about.
This is the Digital Cinema Society‘s inaugural Northern California/Pacific Northwest Chapter gathering. We?re expecting a full house, so please register early if you want to attend.
When: Saturday, March 1st from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Doors open at noon, so come early for networking and an up-close look at the RED cameras.
Where: NetApp, 495 East Java Drive, Building 3, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 (Google Map)
Enter the parking lot at 495 East Java and proceed to building 3. Park in the horseshoe section of the parking lot and enter through the patio. Look for the black gate and DCS signs.
Cost: FREE! You must be a DCS member to attend, however non-members will be automatically granted a free 3-month DCS trial membership upon registering for the event.

Agenda: There will be several RED ONE cameras on display for you to check out. We will present an overview of the camera, examine RED workflow from acquisition through post, and screen examples of RED ONE footage from HDCAM SR tape via high-resolution
projector.
DCS president and cinematographer James Mathers has recently completed shooting a feature using RED and will talk about his experiences and the RED production workflow. Silverado Systems? president Torrey Loomis, having also just finished a RED feature, will discuss and demonstrate his post-production workflow.
We also have a DCS member panel comprised of filmmaker and DCS advisory board member Adam Wilt, DP Art Adams, and Videofax managing partner Leigh Blicher. Our panelists will be leading topical discussion during our Q&A sessions.
This meeting is being organized and moderated by chapter president Simon Sommerfeld, and hosted by DCS member and creative director Trudi Melohn of NetApp.
