On this week's Final Cut Pro X Under 5, Steve Martin from Ripple Training shows us how powerful the Timeline Index can be when it comes to modifying titles. If you've been navigating to titles by scrolling along the timeline, you won't want to miss this tip.
By selecting Titles in the Timeline Index, you are presesented with a list of every title in your project, in order, with corresponding timecode, and an indicator of the current playhead location. Clicking any title in the list jumps the playhead to that title and selects it. By combining the Timeline Index with the ability to save text styling attributes as favorites, you can update the look of multiple titles in seconds. And when you add in the Search and Replace command, you can change the text itself for multiple titles just as fast. Check out the 3-minute video to see exactly how it's done.
