KAMKOP Action JIB: a Crane for Action Cameras

Since action cameras have become very popular, action fans as well as professional film producers want to capture spectacular and unforgettable shots. And this is where KAMKOP Systems and their brand-new KAMKOP Action JIB come into play.

The KAMKOP Action JIB is the highly enhanced version of the KAMKOP ActionPole which has successfully been in use by filmmakers around the globe for more than two years now. KAMKOP Systems, founded by Peter Koppendorfer, is a small specialist company near Munich which manufactures customized photographic equipment for extreme camera views.

With only 1.3 kg, the compact Action JIB is light enough to travel everywhere. Thanks to the clean and simple design it is extremely easy to handle. From pivot to tip, the telescopic segments of the jib extend up to 5 m to produce sweeping, cinematic camera moves.

KAMKOP Systems launched a crowdfunding campaign on INDIEGOGO  to introduce the KAMKOP Action JIB. The first prototypes of the product will be available in January 2015, to distribute to early backers (see crowdfunding page for more info). The Action JIB can be used both by photographers and videographers aiming to explore new points of view in their work. The estimated retail price for the basic kit is around $500.
