Presented as for underwater use, the Diving Video LED Light can also be used on land, opening possibilities not available with a normal LED panel. Waterproof, shockproof and rainproof, the LED panel can be a creative solution for when you need to work with lighting in close proximity of water.
Imagine placing the LED panel under a waterfall for some spectacular images, either in video or photography. Or working under rain without having to worry much about protecting your lights. Powered by an internal rechargeable battery, with a charging port protected by a seal ring, so there is no danger of water entering the aluminium alloy casing, the LED panels come in three models, LE-120Y (1500 Lumens), LE-160Y (2000 Lumens) and LE-200Y (2500 Lumens), all balanced for 5500K (daylight).

Able to go down to 130ft (40 meters), the Diving Video LED Light offers a CRI (Colour Rendering Index) of 82, a low value when it comes to colour fidelity. It should be noted, though, that light in water exhibits behaviours outside of the range of day-to-day human experiences and that already at 2.25 meters deep there is a dramatic colour shift on a 90 CRI light. It should also be mentioned that some professional LED lights for underwater video from Keldan, a well known brand from Switzerland, present a CRI value of 82.
The Diving Video LED Light from the Chinese company Mcoplus comes with a standard metal hot shoe mount, for use with DSLR or a DSLR underwater housing, but can also be associated with the GoPro camera connector (see image) from the company. There is no indication of final price on the Mcoplus website, but info available from Alibaba indicates that the price per unit for the LE-120Y can be between $35-$85 for quantities of 10.
