ARRI announced, in time for Christmas, its range of Pro Camera Accessories for the Canon EOS C700.
The new accessories from ARRI have been endorsed by Canon and will feature in the company’s upcoming official camera presentations of the EOS C700.
Equipping the camera with professional on-set functionality and rugged durability, the new accessory sets are three: ARRI Plate, ARRI Top Plate and ARRI Viewfinder Bracket. Prototypes of the accessories now available for Canon EOS C700 were first shown by Philip Vischer, ARRI’s Product Manager for PCA Mechanical Accessories, at IBC 2016, in Amsterdam.
The range of ARRI Pro Camera Accessories (ARRI PCA), presented in April 2016 as a solution for ALEXA Mini configurations and third-party camera and lens, offers, in fact, much more than the accessories for Canon. ARRI has solutions for cameras from RED Weapon, Scarlet-W and Raven DSMC2 cameras, Sony a7S/R II and Panasonic VariCam LT.
The new ARRI Plate for Canon EOS C700 is a hybrid base plate that adapts to documentary-style setups as well as traditional rental configurations. It allows precise balancing of the camera on the shoulder and features a comfortable non-slip shoulder pad for effective handheld operating, even with a studio bridge plate attached.
The ARRI Top Plate is a lightweight low-mode support which features built-in rod support for lens motors and viewfinder mounts. It offers accessory threads at the most convenient, versatile positions, as well as interfaces for most ARRI handles. The original Canon accessories, such as the handle and microphone bracket, are also compatible with this top plate.
The ARRI Viewfinder Bracket for Canon EVF is a viewfinder adapter that sits permanently in place of the original EVF mechanical interface. The bracket offers a quick release system, as well as compatibility with all current viewfinder mounting brackets in the ARRI camera range.
All ARRI PCA (Pro Camera Accessories) for the Canon C700 are now shipping.
