NewTek, manufacturer of TriCaster portable live production systems and 3D software animation products, has just announced the NAB TriCaster Upgrade Guarantee Program. This renewed program means that NewTek customers can trade in any TriCaster purchased between January 15 and April 12, 2010 for full purchase price credit towards any new TriCaster product introduced at the 2010 NAB show, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, from April 12 to 15. This is very reassuring for anyone who may have been holding back a purchase of a TriCaster until NAB.
As covered in my recent TriCaster TCXD300 review, this product -and new TriCaster models to be released at NAB- let a producer simultaneously produce, live webstream, broadcast and project HD and SD network-style productions. A single operator or small team can create sophisticated productions while switching between multiple cameras, virtual inputs, and live virtual sets, while automatically inserting clips, titles, and motion graphics with multi-channel effects. TriCaster is used by broadcasters, schools, sports organizations, houses of worship, government agencies, and others to provide high-end content to their audiences. Some of NewTek’s clients include : the BBC, CBS Radio, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ESPN Radio, ESPN X Games, Fox News, Fox Sports, NASA, the NBA Development League, the NHL, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the MTV Music Group, Nickelodeon, the Steve Harvey Radio Show, the TWIT network, and USA TODAY. NewTek products have been used in feature films and well known TV shows, including Avatar, Angels and Demons, Battle for Terra, The Dark Knight, FlashForward, Fringe, Iron Man, Lost, Tropic Thunder, and V.
TriCaster products will be presented at NewTek’s booth: SL10814.
