PENTA Studiotech to Introduce ‘World’s Smallest HD Camera’ at NAB

PENTA Studiotech today announced that it will introduce the Lux Media Plan (LMP) HD1200 micro camera system to the North American market at the 2010 NAB Show. The ultra-compact HD 1200 offers remote-controlled, high-quality HD video capture for a range of specialized broadcast and production environments.

“LMP and the HD1200 are well-known to European broadcasters, and we are pleased to have this opportunity to demonstrate the camera’s advanced capabilities to the U.S. and Canadian marketplace,” said Glen Green, corporate vice president of sales and marketing for PENTA Studiotech. “This camera is truly unique, delivering HD output quality that is clearly on par with much larger systems while accommodating very small-footprint, challenging on-location shoots.”

PENTA Studiotech is the leading representative of the LMP line of high-end specialty cameras in North America. LMP’s HD 1200 is one of the smallest HD cameras available in today’s market, designed to capture the excitement and up-close intensity of sports events and concerts and to take advantage of opportunities to film within tight spaces. The HD 1200 delivers impressive performance and robust features in a small housing with progressive resolutions up to 1080p, and can be remotely controlled over long distances.

Building upon its successful use within the Lux Media Plan LDK 3000 camera, the HD 1200 will also incorporate the 2/3-inch Thomson Xensium™ HD sensor, which has an array of 2.4 million pixels and supports 1080p, 1080i, and 720p formats. The LMP HD 1200 camera will be featured in PENTA Studiotech’s booth, N1023, at the 2010 NAB Show.
