Have you ever been chased by Burmese Secret Police when you were on a portrait assignment ? Nope, didn't think so! Check out this video interview with British photographer Platon about his recent cover shoot for TIME Magazine of Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi.{C}
What a crazy story and what beautiful photos!
So much of being a great portrait photographer like Platon, is getting your subjects to open up in front of the camera and to feel as comfortable with you as if you'd known them for a whole lifetime. In this interview you can really see how good he is at achieving that moment of intimacy between camera and his subject even just moments after meeting them for the first time.
You can read more about the story HERE on TIME Magazine's website.
