Smack in the middle of the plug-in pavilion was what looked like a retail store. That was for iOgrapher and their iPad mount/holder/all-around-helper accessory that will come in most handy if using the iPad for camera-related or new-gathering work.
There’s several solutions out there for this type iPad usage. iOgrapher is a very affordable solution with options for all iPad models and some in the works for iPhone. There’s lots of little screws and mounting points on an iOgrapher and those handles make it quite useful. Now all you have to do is get over looking like a dork! But that dorkiness will go away quickly when you realize you can take an iographer, a tripod, maybe a light and a good microphone and cover an event like NAB without ever having to whip out an actual video camera and/or a laptop to edit and upload that video.
