SHAKOPEE, Minn. – April 21, 2011 – Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) today announced that it has named Trevor de Maat as the company’s eastern regional sales manager. de Maat brings a wealth of management experience in the consumer electronics and professional A/V markets to his new role at RTI, where he will be responsible for the sales and marketing activity of RTI’s control solutions in the eastern U.S.

de Maat comes to RTI from AVAD – a home integration solutions provider – where over the last eight years he has served as territory sales manager and regional sales manager, northeast. Previously, he held the position of Internet audio consultant with Audio Outlet, where he helped launch the database-driven, dynamic e-commerce website. In 1996, de Maat founded TreMa Sound, Inc. where he served as market development manager, managing day-to-day activities associated with introducing new product lines to the U.S. hi-fi market.
de Maat holds a bachelor’s degree from Breda Business School (HEAO Breda) in the Netherlands. He will be based in Queens, N.Y., and report to Pete Baker.
