In Part 2 of Tom Antos’ three-part series, he goes over the experience of working with the Sony a7S II mirrorless camera and when or when not to use the S-Log video profile.
This is the second tutorial in a three-part series of filmmaking tutorials hosted by Tom Antos. The tutorials are based on the production of the “Never Broken” music video by Anna Cyzon. This tutorial documents the filming of the music video. One can see how the production team dealt with adverse weather conditions that could have undermined this project. Also, the video shows how working with minimal equipment – one camera, one lens and one stabilizer – empowered the team to get – oftentimes at challenging locations (ex. low-light or crowded) – a wide range of cinematic shots. Various technical aspects of filming are also discussed, including relying on auto focus and when not to use S-Log video profiles.
