There are still plenty of seats for the SuperMeetUp at the FCPX Creative Summit this Friday in San Jose, CA. Presos by Randy “FCP” Ubillos, Alex “Alex4D” Gollner, and more; $27,000 worth of raffle prizes; food and drink; etc. It’s billed as “the largest gathering of Digital Filmmakers and Visual Storytellers in the San Francisco Bay Area during 2015.”
The first San Francisco Bay Area SuperMeetUp is this Friday in San Jose, CA, on the opening day of the FCPX Creative Summit. What’s a SuperMeetUp? A smaller SuperMeet, a gathering of editors and creatives springing from (but not limited to) the FCP community. “Smaller” is relative: “normal” SuperMeets are held in conjunction with NAB in Las Vegas, IBC in Amsterdam, InterBEE in Tokyo, and MacWorld Expos (remember them?) in San Francisco and Boston and the like.
From the SuperMeet website (with minor editing):
The very first FCPX Creative Summit is going to be held in San Jose from June 26 to June 28, 2015. As part of this event, we will be holding the very first BAY AREA SUPERMEETUP to take place at the McEnery Convention Center on Friday, June 26 beginning at 5PM. Join us for the largest gathering of Digital Filmmakers and Visual Storytellers in the Bay Area during 2015. NOTE: You need not be registered for FCPX Creative Summit to attend the SuperMeetUp – All are welcome!
SuperMeetUps are simply smaller than a SuperMeet. Like a SuperMeet it provides the postproduction and broadcast community an opportunity to not only learn about latest technology trends, but to network and share industry news and opportunities in a social setting that is both educational, exciting and fun!
